September 20, 2008, 10 AM will mark the advent of one
of Maine's most exciting and scenic short course races.
This course is perfectly suited for the first timer or
seasoned competitor looking for a personal best!!

Situated from the Bath House Beach at beautiful
Biddeford Pool,  the
Mainiac Sprint Tri will  begin with
a 1/4 mile swim in the calm and smooth waters of
Fletchers Neck.  The 14.7 mile bike course moves along
the Mile Stretch of Biddeford Pool, traveling inland
through the pastoral sections of Biddeford and
Kennebunkport, returning along the beach fronts of
Goose Rocks Beach and Fortunes Rocks. Surely, one of
the flattest bike routes in all of Maine's triathlon events.
Following the fast bike route, the 3.2 mile run will take
you around the headland of Fletchers Neck with Saco
Bay, Wood Island Light, the "Gut" and the Pool at your
side as you return to the Bath House Beach
transition/finish area.

Hosted by the
Kennebunk Beach Triathlon Club, all
proceeds of the race will benefit the
Northern York
County YMCA.
